Approaching the International Quds Day, Muslim people from across the world are preparing to hold rallies in the final days of Ramadan to voice their support for the oppressed Palestinian people.
To further discuss the issue of Palestine, IQNA has reached out to E Michael Jones, editor of Culture Wars magazine.
Here is the full text of the interview:
IQNA: Efforts to normalize ties between some Arab states and Israel have failed to decrease tensions in the occupied territories. What is the reason for this?
Jones: The main problem in the Middle East is Israel. Agreement among some Arab states will only strengthen Israel and make the problem worse.
IQNA: What do you think is the main reason for the failure of the international community in resolving the Palestinian issue?
Jones: The main reason for the failure to resolve the Palestinian issue is the Holocaust narrative, which got created after World War II, and then got promoted by the Jews in Hollywood. It gave the Jews eternal victim status, and that allowed them to commit crimes against the Palestinians with impunity, knowing that they would always be absolved in the court of public opinion which they controlled.
IQNA: Some observers believe that the two-state solution will fail because of occasional tensions in the occupied territories. What is your take on this?
Jones: The Palestinians have already lost control of too much territory to ensure a viable two state solution.
IQNA: What do you think is the best solution for the decades-long issue in Palestine?
Jones: The best solution now is a state which guarantees property rights, the right to vote, and the rule of law for Palestinians.
IQNA: How do you see the importance and effect of the Quds Day that is marked around the world by Muslims?
Jones: Quds Day is important because it keeps the historical injustice against the Palestinian people alive in the mind of the world’s people.
