Mosques, religious sites host Ramadan Quranic circles in Kashmir

Quranic circles are held in different parts of the Indian-administered Kashmir during the holy month of Ramadan every year.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Quranic circles are held in different parts of the Indian-administered Kashmir during the holy month of Ramadan every year.

Various age groups attend the Quranic events that are held every day before Iftar (fast breaking at sunset) in mosques and religious sites.

Ramadan (which will begin next week) is the ninth month in the Islamic calendar. It is a period of prayer, fasting, charity giving and self–accountability for Muslims around the world.

During Ramadan, Muslims fast (abstain from foods and drinks) from sunrise to sunset.

They also devote a considerable amount of time during this month to reading and contemplating the Quran.
