The second edition of a Quran competition was held by Australia\u2019s Shia organizations in Melbourne.<\/div>\n

It was organized on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan in two age groups of teenagers and adults.<\/p>\n

Quran recitation, Tarteel and memorization were the categories of the contest.<\/p>\n

More than thirty male and female contenders competed in the three categories at the Khatam Al-Anbiya Center in Melbourne.<\/p>\n

Winners were announced and awarded after Maghrib and Isha prayers on Sunday, which marked the birthday anniversary of Imam Hassan Mujtaba (AS).<\/p>\n

According to the 2016 Census in Australia, the number of Muslims in Australia constituted over 600,000 people, or 2.6% of the total Australian population.<\/p>\n
