{"id":15296,"date":"2022-04-24T06:09:04","date_gmt":"2022-04-24T05:09:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/shiastudies.com\/en\/?p=15296"},"modified":"2022-04-24T06:10:19","modified_gmt":"2022-04-24T05:10:19","slug":"sweden-protests-continue-burning-quran","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/shiastudies.com\/en\/15296\/sweden-protests-continue-burning-quran\/","title":{"rendered":"Sweden: Protests continue over burning of Quran"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hundreds of people on Saturday gathered in Stockholm to protest the burning of the Muslim holy book in the country.<\/p>\n<p>About 500 people attended the protest organized by the Party of Different Colors (Nyans) in front of the country\u2019s parliament in Stockholm.<\/p>\n<p>The protesters were holding banners that read \u201cStop the burning of the Holy Quran\u201d and \u201cStop insulting Muslims\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, Rasmus Paludan, the leader of the far-right Stram Kurs (Hard Line) group, burned a copy of the Muslim holy book in Sweden\u2019s southern Linkoping city.
