{"id":15477,"date":"2022-04-27T08:16:50","date_gmt":"2022-04-27T07:16:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/shiastudies.com\/en\/?p=15477"},"modified":"2022-04-27T08:35:31","modified_gmt":"2022-04-27T07:35:31","slug":"whispered-prayer-hold-fast","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/shiastudies.com\/en\/15477\/whispered-prayer-hold-fast\/","title":{"rendered":"The Whispered Prayer of those who Hold Fast"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>In the Name of God, the All-merciful, the All-compassionate<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\n1- O God,<br \/>\nO Shelter of the shelter-seekers!<br \/>\nO Refuge of the refuge-seekers!<br \/>\nO Deliverer of the perishing!<br \/>\nO Preserver of the pitiful!<br \/>\nO Merciful toward the miserable!<br \/>\nO Responder to the distressed!<br \/>\nO Treasure of the utterly poor!<br \/>\nO Mender of the broken!<br \/>\nO Haven of the cut off!<br \/>\nO Helper of the abased!<br \/>\nO Granter of sanctuary to the fearful!<br \/>\nO Aider of the troubled!<br \/>\nO Fortress of the refugees!<br \/>\nIf I seek not refuge in Thy might,<br \/>\nin whom shall I seek refuge?<br \/>\nIf I seek not shelter in Thy power,<br \/>\nin whom shall I seek shelter?<br \/>\nSins have made me seek asylum in laying hold<br \/>\non the skirts of Thy pardon,<br \/>\noffenses have compelled me to beg the opening<br \/>\nof the doors of Thy forgiveness,<br \/>\nevildoing has summoned me to dismount<br \/>\nin the courtyard of Thy might,<br \/>\nfear of Thy vengeance has prompted me<br \/>\nto cling to the handhold of Thy tenderness!<br \/>\nIt is not right for him who holds fast to Thy cord<br \/>\nto be abandoned,<br \/>\nnor proper for him who seeks the sanctuary of Thy might<br \/>\nto be surrendered or disregarded.<br \/>\nMy God,<br \/>\nempty us not of Thy defending,<br \/>\nstrip us not of Thy guarding,<br \/>\nand protect us from the roads of destruction,<br \/>\nfor we are in Thy eye and under Thy wing!<br \/>\nI ask Thee<br \/>\nby those whom Thou hast singled out,<br \/>\nThy angels and the righteous among Thy creatures,<br \/>\nto assign over us a protector through which Thou wilt<br \/>\ndeliver us from destructions,<br \/>\nturn aside from us blights,<br \/>\nand hide us from the striking of great afflictions,<br \/>\nto send down upon us some of Thy tranquillity,<br \/>\nto wrap our faces in the lights of love for Thee,<br \/>\nto give us haven in Thy strong pillar,323<br \/>\nand to gather us under the wings of Thy preservation!<br \/>\nBy Thy clemency and Thy mercy,<br \/>\nO Most Merciful of the merciful!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the Name of God, the All-merciful, the All-compassionate 1- O God, O Shelter of the shelter-seekers!
