{"id":15559,"date":"2022-04-28T07:44:54","date_gmt":"2022-04-28T06:44:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/shiastudies.com\/en\/?p=15559"},"modified":"2022-04-28T07:44:54","modified_gmt":"2022-04-28T06:44:54","slug":"senior-hamas-delegation-arrives-iran-ahead-intl-quds-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/shiastudies.com\/en\/15559\/senior-hamas-delegation-arrives-iran-ahead-intl-quds-day\/","title":{"rendered":"Senior Hamas Delegation Arrives in Iran Ahead of Int\u2019l Quds Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"subtitle\">A high-ranking delegation from the Hamas resistance movement arrived in Iran on Wednesday morning, two days before the International Quds Day.<\/div>\n<div class=\"body ah_body\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Headed by Khalil al-Hayya, it also includes Hamas officials Osama Hamdan and Khaled Qodumi.<\/p>\n<p>They will attend a rally slated to be held in Tehran on Friday to mark the International Quds Day.<\/p>\n<p>Khalil al-Hayya is scheduled to address the rally.<\/p>\n<p>The delegation will also held meetings with a number of Iranian officials, according to the Palestinian Information Center.<\/p>\n<p>Born in 1960, Khalil al-Hayya is a senior member of Hamas\u2019 political bureau, head of the Arabic and Islamic Relations Office and deputy head of Hamas&#8217;s regional politburo in Gaza.<\/p>\n<p>He was a teacher of the Islamic University of Gaza from 1984 to 2005.<\/p>\n<p>He was elected a member of the Palestinian parliament in 2006 and became the head of Hamas caucus in the parliament.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"image_btn img-responsive\" title=\"Senior Hamas Delegation Arrives in Iran Ahead of Int\u2019l Quds Day\" src=\"https:\/\/iqna.ir\/files\/en\/news\/2022\/4\/27\/100987_187.jpg\" alt=\"Senior Hamas Delegation Arrives in Iran Ahead of Int\u2019l Quds Day\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" align=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Al-Hayya spent three years in an Israeli regime jail.
