{"id":15631,"date":"2022-05-01T08:26:09","date_gmt":"2022-05-01T07:26:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/shiastudies.com\/en\/?p=15631"},"modified":"2022-05-01T08:26:09","modified_gmt":"2022-05-01T07:26:09","slug":"courtyards-imam-reza-holy-shrine-carpeted-eid-prayers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/shiastudies.com\/en\/15631\/courtyards-imam-reza-holy-shrine-carpeted-eid-prayers\/","title":{"rendered":"Courtyards of Imam Reza (AS) Holy Shrine to Be Carpeted for Eid Prayers"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"subtitle\">\u00a0All of the courtyards of Imam Reza\u2019s (AS) mausoleum in Mashhad, northeast Iran, will be carpeted for Eid al-Fitr prayers, an official said.<\/div>\n<div class=\"body ah_body\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mohammad Tavakoli, an official with the Astan Quds Razavi, said Ayatollah Seyed Ahmad Alamolhoda, representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Khorasan Razavi province, will lead the prayers.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that a Naqqareh Zani ceremony will also be held at the holy shrine on the auspicious occasion.<\/p>\n<p>Naqqareh is a kind of drum with a rounded back and a hide head.<\/p>\n<p>Playing Naqqareh is a ritual held at the holy mausoleum on festive occasions.<\/p>\n<p>Eid al-Fitr marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.<\/p>\n<p>In Iran, Eid al-Fitr is expected to fall on Monday if the crescent moon of the month of Shawwal is sighted on Sunday evening.
