In one of the festivities on this occasion, a total of 70 couples tied the knot in a mass wedding in Kabul.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The organizers of the ceremony and participants said that in addition to celebrating Eid al-Ghadir, the initiative was aimed at promoting the Islamic culture, ease marriage for the young generation and to cut back on wedding expenses.<\/p>\n<p>In another festival, Kabul residents colorfully decorated a popular shrine to celebrate Eid al-Ghadir. They also offered prayers and stressed the importance of commemorating historical and religious events.<\/p>\n<p>While Afghan people are going through different hardships, such gatherings prove that their passion to mark important religious and cultural occasions has not lessened.<\/p>\n<p>People here take Eid al-Ghadir as an opportunity to renew allegiance with their first Imam.
