{"id":17158,"date":"2022-08-17T06:24:50","date_gmt":"2022-08-17T05:24:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/shiastudies.com\/en\/?p=17158"},"modified":"2022-08-17T06:24:50","modified_gmt":"2022-08-17T05:24:50","slug":"iraq-discovering-ancient-artefacts-najaf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/shiastudies.com\/en\/17158\/iraq-discovering-ancient-artefacts-najaf\/","title":{"rendered":"Iraq: Discovering ancient artefacts in Najaf"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Iraqi Ministry of Culture announced on Monday that a significant ancient artefact has been discovered in \u201cTal Aswad\u201d situated in Najaf province and in the vicinity of Kufa by an Iraqi excavation team.<br \/>\n\u201cHassan Nazem\u201d the Iraqi Minister of Culture said: \u201cAn ancient clay jar containing ornaments, necklace, ring, earrings, gold pendant, precious stones, and eighteen Dinars of pure gold related to the era of Motamed bi\u2019ll\u0101h, Al-Muqtadir and Al-Mustakf\u012b bi\u2019ll\u0101h, the Abbasid caliphs as well as one hundred dirham silver were found\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>He added: \u201cThis excavation team also discovered many copper coins in various parts of this region in different sizes that were damaged as a result of humidity and soil minerals.
