In this letter, he strongly condemns the deceit, duplicity, and war-mongering, destructive policies of U.S. presidents—particularly Donald Trump.

The Letter Reads:

Mr. Donald Trump
President of the United States of America,

After greetings and respect to the truth-seekers and justice-lovers of the world,

Speaking with someone who claims to lead the “free world”—if done sincerely and based on truth—may plant seeds of understanding and coexistence. However, when the tribune of power is misused to speak in a tone of arrogance, humiliation, and threat—replacing dialogue and respect with haughtiness and self-glorification—it becomes the duty of every free soul to defend the historical dignity of their nation and to expose the contradictions and hypocrisy of those who falsely claim to champion democracy.

Mr. Trump!
You chose the Middle East for your first foreign trip and entered Saudi Arabia—a cradle of terrorism, a violator of human rights, and a stronghold of religious oppression—with pomp reminiscent of ancient tyrants and pharaohs. You praised a country where the concepts of elections and political, media, and civil freedoms are non-existent!

At the Riyadh Economic Summit, what was most heard was not the defense of economy or peace, but hostile insults and contempt directed toward a nation rooted in history, culture, knowledge, and resistance—a wise, aware, and justice-seeking nation called Iran.

During this visit, you mentioned Iran 78 times, portraying it as backward, destructive, and threatening. But what you said revealed more about historical ignorance and deep-seated animosity than diplomatic insight. You told the Iranian people to learn from Saudi Arabia, claiming they had “turned the desert into farmland,” while “Iran had turned farmland into desert.” You pointed to the collapse of old buildings in Tehran as signs of decline and presented the towers of Jeddah and Dubai as symbols of progress.

Mr. Trump!
Allow us to respond to your disparaging judgment with reason and dignity.

Iran and a Heritage You Do Not Know
Iran is not a newly-formed state, but one of the oldest civilizations in Western Asia. This is the nation that gave the world the first Charter of Human Rights. In the very region that hosted you, it was the Iranians who preserved the Arabic language, codified its grammar, and elevated Islamic civilization through their scientific contributions. Giants like Al-Biruni, Avicenna, Razi, Tabari, and Khwarizmi laid the foundations of science, philosophy, and medicine in the Islamic world—and your nations today benefit from their legacy, only to later break the very saltshaker they fed from.

If the Arabic language is alive today, and if Islamic culture remains in humanity’s memory, it is not due to Wahhabi Saudi Arabia, Qatar, or the UAE—but due to the Iranian thinkers who kept its flame alive. Not only during the Umayyad and Abbasid eras but also in modern times, Iranians have led movements for independence, the rule of law, and true Islam. The Constitutional Revolution, the nationalization of oil, the Islamic Revolution of 1979, and the resistance against oppressive sanctions all reflect the independent spirit of this nation.

Mustafa Askari, [20.05.25 23:21]
On Progress and Dependency
Yes, the host countries you visited have constructed towers that dazzle the eyes. But these towers were not built by their own engineers. The designers, investors, and builders were all foreign. Even the bolts and screws of the planes you sell them are not entrusted to local engineers—let alone the technology behind them.

In Iran, under the harshest financial, technological, and oil sanctions, we build metro systems, possess indigenous defense industries, manufacture fighter jets and drones, and rank among the leading nations in medicine and nanotechnology. Iran has a gas distribution network exceeding one million kilometers—something many oil-rich Gulf states lack entirely. Through local knowledge, we have fought hardship and learned that dignity cannot be bought—it must be built.

Your Responsibility in Regional Tragedies
Mr. Trump!
You are not just responsible through your words—but through your political and military decisions—you are a direct partner in the bloody tragedies of the region. Your withdrawal from the nuclear agreement marked the start of a maximum pressure campaign against the Iranian people. Sanctions on medicine, banking, and financial transactions exposed millions of innocent lives to suffering, illness, and death.

But what Iran suffered is only a small part of your dark record in the Middle East. The crimes of Saudi Arabia in Yemen were made possible by your government’s unrestricted arms sales and support. Thousands of Yemeni children were killed by U.S.-made bombs. In Syria, your backing of extremist and terrorist groups fueled a war that has lasted over a decade. In Lebanon, your silence in the face of repeated Zionist aggression has made you a loathed figure among the peoples of the region.

And in Gaza…
By moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, you ignited a fire whose ashes still bleed. Your unconditional support for the occupying regime of Israel in its recent crimes against the defenseless people of Gaza has placed you not just as a supporter of genocide—but as an accomplice in the destruction of homes, hospitals, and children. Mr. Trump! History will remember you as one of the architects of the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza.

And As for Iran
The Iranian nation is one that values dialogue. We build—we do not destroy. But we will never compromise our dignity. As much as we extend a hand for peace, we are also ready to defend ourselves. We do not seek weapons of mass destruction, but we are self-reliant in conventional defense technology and have no need for foreign armies to establish bases on our land.

We are a nation with millennia of experience—one that has learned how to rise from its own ashes. Just as we resisted the invasions of the Mongols, Ottomans, British, Russians, and your hostile sanctions and conspiracies, we will stand firm today against your hegemonic ambitions and those of your allies.

Final Words
Our strength does not come from glass towers, but from the faith of our people, our history, our culture, and our knowledge. Mr. Trump! We recommend you get to know Iran as it truly is—not as painted by your war-driven analysts and media.

If there is any truth or sincerity in your heart for peace, the wise nation of Iran is always ready to hear the language of dignity and respect—not that of humiliation and threats.

With hopes for lasting peace in the world,
A teacher from among the children of the Middle East, an heir to the great, proud, and justice-seeking civilization of Iran,
Ayat Peyman
Secretary of the Council for Religious Studies of Iran

—

A Clear Message in Response to the Arrogance of Donald Trump.
