Our commanders, distinguished figures, and prominent personalities also attained the pinnacle of victory, while America was unable to accomplish anything against them. In other words, it elevated them rather than bringing them down. This, ultimately, is the story of our school of thought.
“As Shiites, followers of the Twelver Shiite tradition, we stand firmly upon this belief and way of thinking: in this school, the school of Ashura and the school of Imam al-Husayn, there is no defeat. The victory of blood over the sword has a profound meaning. Since we move forward in the name of Imam al-Husayn (peace be upon him) and under his banner, echoing his immortal cry, ‘Far be it from us to accept humiliation,’ we see everything through the lens of victory.”
Speaking to the Jamaran correspondent about the activities of the World Assembly of Shiite Studies, Ayat Peyman said:
“One of the longstanding programs of the National Council of Religious Studies and the World Assembly of Shiite Studies has been to introduce and honor religious scholars, researchers, meticulous investigators, and distinguished figures whose scholarly and cultural works have had a profound impact.
“In the current period, given the global, strategic, and geopolitical developments affecting our country and its surrounding region as a result of the imposed wars, as well as the necessity of defending our homeland against the front of global arrogance, atheism, and Zionism, one of the key objectives of all academic and research institutions is to take the opportunity to introduce prominent figures of the Resistance Front and the Sacred Defense more fully, explaining the various dimensions of their lives and achievements to the younger generation. This is also an important way to counter the enemy’s schemes.”
Peyman added that figures such as the martyred leader, Imam Khomeini, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani were regarded as geniuses of their time.
“Geniuses of every era share a particular characteristic: their contemporaries do not fully recognize all the dimensions of their personalities, qualities, and virtues as much as they deserve. It is only as history unfolds, human intellect develops, society advances, and the horizons of thought expand that their personalities become more fully understood and appreciated.
“For example, within our own seminaries, after the sacred and infallible figures of the Ahl al-Bayt, the prominent scholars of Shiism—from the early centuries, including al-Kulayni, al-Saduq, al-Tusi, al-Shaykh al-Mufid, Sayyid al-Radi, and Sayyid al-Murtada, through the eras of Shaykh Ansari, al-Shahid al-Awwal, and al-Shahid al-Thani, and eventually to Imam Khomeini—have been understood more deeply by today’s researchers, seminarians, and scholars than by many of their contemporaries.
“Similarly, Imam Ali (peace be upon him) is better known throughout the world today than he was by many of the people who lived around him during his lifetime. Even so, this understanding represents only a drop in the ocean of his immense stature. We must await the day when humanity’s intellectual and rational capacities expand sufficiently to comprehend all the dimensions of Imam Ali’s existence. The same principle applies to religious scholars, who are students and followers of this school and are nurtured by the knowledge and teachings of the Qur’an and the Ahl al-Bayt.”
He continued:
“I have also read about Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah’s life and referred to some aspects of it here. He was undoubtedly one of the exceptional figures of his era. Beyond his political and security-related role, his achievements in the fields of ethics, spirituality, and religious understanding were remarkable. Based on the accounts and documentation of his life that we have seen, as I briefly mentioned in my welcoming remarks, no one could lead a community without exceptional abilities. And even if someone reached a leadership position, they would not be able to provide genuine guidance and leadership without such qualities. These individuals are certainly among the outstanding figures of their time.”
Peyman emphasized:
“Perhaps the first description we should give of the revered Imam Khomeini is that he was one of the rare geniuses of his era. Why? Because he could envision distant future developments in ways that provoked negative reactions among many of his contemporaries. People would say, ‘This man and the things he says…’
“Even within the religious seminary, some would say that he was like someone striking a fist against a spear—a metaphor for an apparently impossible struggle against a vastly more powerful adversary. Yet Imam Khomeini told the Shah: ‘O Shah, I am advising you. Do not act in such a way that one day you will leave this country in tears, just as your father did.’
“People in the seminary looked upon him with skepticism, wondering what he was talking about. At one point, they mockingly asked him, ‘Where are the things you used to speak about so passionately?’ He replied, ‘They are now in their cradles.’
“When this statement was reported to the royal court, it was ridiculed, and people mocked the cleric, asking what he meant. This was an expression of his exceptional insight and ability to foresee the future.”
He added:
“We believe in the promises of God, the promises of the Prophet and the Imams, and the promises made by our righteous religious scholars, such as Imam Khomeini, the martyred leader, and Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. We are confident that their thoughts and ideas are not without foundation, because they are inspired by revelation and the school of divine revelation. In the future, everything they spoke of will come to pass.
“When Imam Khomeini declared, ‘America cannot do a thing,’ the negative reactions were far more numerous than the positive ones. People questioned why he would make such a statement about America.
“Even today, some people say, ‘Look what America did. It attacked, caused destruction, eliminated several layers of leadership, and martyred the leader. So clearly, it succeeded.’
“But no. You must look at America’s overall condition. That is merely the surface of the matter. You must examine its underlying nature and substance to understand what is actually happening in the world. America is losing everything it has accumulated on the global stage. Its grandeur, hegemony, and industrial, military, and technological prestige have crumbled around the world.”
The Secretary of the National Council of Religious Studies further stated:
“If we uphold the culture of martyrdom and regard martyrdom as the highest form of goodness—‘a goodness beyond which no greater goodness exists’—then our leader attained the pinnacle of victory through martyrdom. Our commanders, distinguished figures, and prominent personalities also attained the pinnacle of victory, while America was unable to accomplish anything against them. It elevated them rather than bringing them down. This is ultimately the story of our school of thought.
“As followers of Twelver Shiism, we stand firmly upon the belief that there is no defeat in the school of Ashura and the school of Imam al-Husayn (peace be upon him), and that the victory of blood over the sword is real and meaningful. Because we move forward in the name of Imam al-Husayn and under his banner, echoing his cry, ‘Far be it from us to accept humiliation,’ we see everything as victory.”
He continued:
“Today, we are beginning to understand the heavenly voice of Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her) in the palace of the accursed, when she was asked, ‘How did you find what God did to your brother?’—Kayfa ra’ayti sun‘a Allahi bi-akhiki? She replied, ‘By God, I saw nothing but beauty’—Wallahi ma ra’aytu illa jamila.
“When we look only at the surface of events and remain unaware of their deeper reality, we may ask: What beauty could there possibly have been in the events of Karbala? But today, we are beginning to understand what Lady Zaynab meant and why she said, ‘By God, I saw nothing but beauty.’
“Recent developments around the world have also offered us a glimpse of this reality. Lovers and admirers of Imam al-Husayn are taking to the streets of London, Paris, Washington, Berlin, and capitals throughout the world. They gather with banners and religious processions, participating in chain-beating rituals, chest-beating ceremonies, and mourning chants. People of different nationalities, ethnic backgrounds, skin colors, and languages come together, united by their love and devotion to Imam al-Husayn.
“When we witness the Arbaeen pilgrimage and these extraordinary scenes of devotion, we begin to comprehend something of Lady Zaynab’s words, though certainly not their full depth. As the Persian poet says:
‘This is still only the dawn’s first glimmer;
Wait until the sun of triumph rises.’”
Peyman remarked:
“The era we are living through may be regarded as a manifestation of the movement of Imam al-Husayn unfolding across the world. We sincerely hope that God’s promises will be fulfilled.
“We do not regard the Islamic Revolution as an isolated incident or a mere historical event in which an imam issued a call, people responded, a revolution took place, the tyrannical regime fell, and the Islamic Republic was established. Rather, we believe that this development had been foretold.
“According to narrations found in various sources, the Prophet made such promises on several occasions, referring to Salman as a point of reference and explaining that, in the end times, people descended from his lineage would emerge to preserve the faith. Elsewhere, it is reported that he foretold a time when people would take up the sword to promote the religion, but that a day would come when others would raise their swords against you for the purpose of explaining and defending the religion. These are divine promises that are now being fulfilled.”
He went on to say:
“We hope that, through the commemorative ceremonies we organize—including the conference honoring Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah—we can further illuminate the different dimensions of his personality and legacy. At this conference, three distinguished speakers with extensive knowledge and experience in Lebanese and Arab affairs will discuss his contributions to rapprochement and unity, his efforts to build networks and strengthen the foundations of Shiism, and other important aspects of his work.
“We hope that these meetings and efforts to explain his legacy, as well as that of our martyred leader, will continue so that their ideas and achievements can be passed on to the younger generation.”
Regarding the time and location of the conference honoring Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the Secretary-General of the World Assembly of Shiite Studies said:
“We plan to hold one more preliminary conference before the end of this year. We sincerely hope that conditions will permit us to organize the major international congress currently being planned next year, with one day of proceedings in Qom and another in Lebanon. We are waiting for the necessary circumstances to emerge. If that is not possible, God willing, we will hold the congress in Iran and Iraq.”

The Secretary-General of the World Assembly of Shiite Studies, referring to what he described as the collapse of America’s industrial, military, and technological prestige around the world, stated: “If we uphold the culture of martyrdom and regard martyrdom as the highest form of goodness—‘a goodness beyond which no greater goodness exists’—then our leader attained the […]

[7419,7453,7774,7763,7770,7767,7762

post-18687","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-article-database","category-bank-of-subjects-of-articles","category-bibliography","category-characters","category-culture-and-art","category-economics","category-educational-sciences
["GET
