\nA Sajdah done on a bed of arrows
\nA head on a spear
\nA desperate man
\nCalling for assistance
\nWhere was the chief of the youths of paradise
\nWhere was the beating heart of Muhammad
\nOh memories do not taunt me of the forgotten years
\nAll that is past
\nWhat remains is your slaughter
\nYour silken skin torn to shreds
\nYour houri eyes gorged
\nYour lips which the angels kissed
\nOn the plate of your killer
\nTears blear the image of you
\nSo we cannot envisage that glowing face
\nAs I look up I see a painting
\nIt falls short of you
\nBut it is all we have as a memory –
\nUntil we meet at the fountain of the lovers
