O Allah,
\ncomplete my intention through Your gentleness,
\nrectify my certainty through what is with You,
\nand reform what is corrupt in me through Your power!
\nO Allah,
\nbless Muhammad and his Household,
\nspare me the concerns, which distract me,
\nemploy me
\nin that about which You will ask me tomorrow,
\nand let me pass my days in that for which You have created me! free me from need,
\nexpand Your provision toward me,
\nand tempt me not with arrogance!
\nExalt me and afflict me not with pride!
\nMake me adore You
\nand do not let my worship be spoiled with self-admiration!
\nLet good flow out from my hands upon the people
\nand efface it not by my making them feel obliged!
\nGive me the highest moral traits and preserve me from vainglory!<\/p>\n

(Part Two)<\/strong>
\nO Allah,
\nbless Muhammad and his Household,
\nraise me not a single degree among the people
\nwithout lowering me its like in myself
\nand bring about no outward respect for me
\nwithout an inward humiliation in myself to the same
\nmeasure!
\nO Allah,
\nbless Muhammad and Muhammad’s Household,
\nfavour me with a sound guidance, which I seek not to replace,
\na path of truth from which I may not go astray,
\nand an intention of right conduct in which I have no doubts!
\nLet me live as long as my life is in obeying You,
\nbut if my life should become a pasture for satan,
\nseize me to Yourself before Your hatred overtakes me
\nor Your wrath against me becomes firm!
\nO Allah,
\ndeposit in me no quality for which I will be faulted unless You
\nset it right, no blameworthy blemish unammended,
\nno deficient noble trait,
\nunless You complete it!
\nO Allah,
\nbless Muhammad and Muhammad’s Household
\nand replace for me the animosity of the people of hatred with
\nlove,
\nthe envy of the people of insolence with affection,
\nthe suspicion of the people of righteousness with trust,
\nthe enmity of those close with friendship,
\nthe disrespect of womb relatives with devotion,
\nthe abandonment of relatives with help,
\nthe attachment of flatterers with love,
\nthe rejection of fellows with generous friendliness, and the
\nbitterness of the fear of wrongdoers with the sweetness of
\nsecurity!<\/p>\n

(Part Three)<\/strong>
\nO Allah,
\nbless Muhammad and his Household,
\nappoint for me
\na power against him who wrongs me,
\na tongue against him who disputes with me,
\nand a victory over him who stubbornly resists me!
\nGive me
\nguile against him who schemes against me,
\npower over him, who oppresses me,
\nrefutation of him who reviles me,
\nand safety from him who threatens me!
\nGrant me success to
\nobey him who directs me to the right path
\nand follow him who guides me!
\nO Allah,
\nbless Muhammad and his Household
\nand point me straight to
\nresist him, who is dishonest toward me with good counsel,
\nrepay him, who separates from me with gentle devotion,
\nreward him, who deprives me with free giving,
\nrecompense him, who cuts me off with joining,
\noppose him, who slanders me with excellent mention,
\ngive thanks for good,
\nand shut my eyes to evil!
\n
\n(Part Four)<\/strong>
\nO Allah,
\nbless Muhammad and his Household,
\nadorn me with the qualifies of the righteous,
\nand clothe me in the ornaments of the god fearing,
\n– through spreading justice,
\n– restraining anger,
\n– quenching the flame of the hate,
\n– reuniting the scattered,
\n– making up the differences between men,
\n– spreading about good behaviour,
\n– covering faults,
\n– mildness of temper,
\n– lowering the wing (self denial and treating others with respect),
\nbeauty of conduct,
\n– gravity of bearing,
\n– agreeableness of dealings,
\n– advancing in reaching excellence,
\n– preferring generosity,
\n– refraining from condemnation,
\n– showing kindness even to the Unworthy,
\n– speaking the truth, though it be painful,
\n– making little of the good in my words and deeds,
\nthough it be much,
\nand
\n– making much of the evil in my words and deeds,
\nthough it be little!
\nPerfect this for me through
\n– lasting obedience,
\n– holding fast to the community,
\nand
\nrejecting the people of innovation and those who act upon self-
\ninvented opinions!<\/p>\n

(Part Five)<\/strong>
\n11. O Allah,
\nbless Muhammad and his Household,
\nappoint for me Your widest provision in my old age
\nand Your strongest strength when I am exhausted,
\nand try me not with
\nlaziness in worshipping You,
\nblindness toward Your path,
\nundertaking what opposes love for You,
\njoining with him who has separated himself from You,
\nand
\nseparating from him who has joined himself to You!
\n12. O Allah,
\nmake me
\nleap to You in times of distress,
\nask from You in need,
\nand plead to You in misery!
\nTempt me not to
\nseek help from other than You when I am distressed,
\nto humble myself in asking from someone else
\nwhen I am poor,
\nor to plead with someone less than You when I fear,
\nfor then I would deserve
\nYour abandonment,
\nYour withholding,
\nand
\nYour turning away,
\nO Most Merciful of the merciful!<\/p>\n

(Part Six)<\/strong>
\n(Tongue)
\n13. O Allah,
\nLet what Satan throws into my heart of desires,
\nsuspicion and envy, be a cause for remembrance
\nof Your mightiness, a reflection upon Your power,
\nand a devising against Your enemy!
\nMake everything he causes to pass over my tongue,
\n(the indecent ugly words, the maligning of good repute,
\nthe false witness, backbiting of an absent true-believer,
\nor the reviling of one present,
\nand all things similar) a speech in praise of You,
\nto remain ever in praise of You,
\nan excursion in magnifying You,
\na thanksgiving for Your favour,
\nan acknowledgement of Your beneficence,
\nand an enumeration of Your Kindness!
\n14. O Allah,
\nbless Muhammad and his Household,
\nlet me not be oppressed
\nwhile You can repel from me,
\nnor let me oppress others
\nwhile You have authority to restrain me,
\nnor let me be misguided
\nwhile You are able to guide me,
\nnor let me be poor
\nwhile with You is my plenty,
\nnor let me be insolent
\nwhile from You comes my wealth!<\/p>\n

(Part Seven)<\/strong>
\n(Lord)
\n15. O Allah,
\nI come to Your forgiveness,
\nI aim for Your pardon,
\nI yearn for your forbearance,
\nand
\nI trust in Your bounty,
\nbut there is nothing with me
\nto make me entitled to Your forgiveness,
\nnothing in my works
\nto make me deserve Your pardon,
\nand nothing when I judge my self
\nbut Your grace,
\nso bless Muharnmad and his Household
\nand bestow Your bounty upon me!
\n16. O Allah,
\nmake my speech be guidance,
\ninspire me with piety,
\ngive me success in that which is most pure,
\nand employ me in what is most pleasing to You!
\n17. O Allah,
\nlet me walk the most exemplary path
\nand make me live and die in Your creed!
\n18. O Allah,
\nbless Muhammad and his Household,
\ngive me to enjoy moderation,
\nmake me one of the people of right behaviour,
\nthe proofs of right conduct, and servants of righteousness,
\nand
\ngrant me salvation on the Day of Return
\nand safety on the Day of Judgement!<\/p>\n

(Part Eight)<\/strong>
\n(Protection of Soul)
\n19. O Allah,
\nExtract from my soul whatever may purify it for Yourself
\nand preserve those motives for my soul that may set it right,
\nfor my soul will perish unless You preserve it!
\n20. O Allah,
\nYou are my stores when I sorrow,
\nYou are my recourse when I am deprived,
\nfrom You I seek aid when troubled
\nand with You is a substitute for what is lost,
\na correction for everything corrupted,
\nand alteration from everything You disapprove.
\nTherefore favour me with security before calamity
\nand right direction before error,
\nsuffice me against the burden of shame toward the servants,
\ngive me security on the day of Return,
\nand grant me excellent right guidance!
\nO Allah,
\nbless Muhammad and his Household
\nrepel from me through Your Grace,
\nnourish me through Your favour,
\nreform me with Your generosity,
\nheal me through Your benefaction,
\nshade me in Your shelter,
\nclothe me with Your good pleasure,
\nand give me success to reach
\nthe most guided of affairs when affairs confuse me,
\nthe purest of works when works seem similar,
\nand the most pleasing to You of creeds when creeds conflict!<\/p>\n

(Part Nine)<\/strong>
\n(Test by wealth)
\n22. O Allah,
\nbless Muhammad and his Household,
\ncrown me with sufficiency.
\nAdorn me with Your guardianship,
\ngive me to guide correctly,
\ntempt me not with prosperity.
\nGrant me excellent ease.
\nDo not make my life succession of trials,
\nand do not refuse my supplication in rejection,
\nfor I do not recognise any rival to You
\nand I supplicate none with You as equal!
\n23. O Allah,
\nbless Muhammad and his Household,
\nrestrain me from extravagance,
\npreserve my subsistence from waste,
\nincrease my possessions through blessing them,
\nand set me upon the path of guidance
\nthrough piety in what I spend!
\n24. O Allah,
\nbless Muhammad and his Household,
\nspare me the burden of earning,
\nand provide for me without reckoning,
\nso that search may not keep me away from Your worship
\nand carry the load of earning’s ill results!
\n25. O Allah,
\nbestow upon me what I seek
\nthrough Your power
\nand grant me sanctuary from what I fear through Your might!
\n
\n(Part Ten)<\/strong>
\n26. O Allah,
\nbless Muhammad and his Household,
\nguard my honour through ease,
\nand do not disgrace my dignity with poverty,
\nlest I seek provision from those whom
\nYou have provided
\nand ask favour from the wicked!
\nThen I would be tried by praising him who gave to me
\nand
\nblaming him who held back from me,
\nwhile You – not they – are the master of giving and holding back.
\n27. O Allah,
\nbless Muhammad and his Household
\ngive me a combination of health with worship,
\ndetachment with piety, knowledge with action,
\nand chastity with measure!
\n28. O Allah,
\nseal my term with Your pardon,
\nverify my expectation in hoping for Your mercy,
\nsmooth my paths to reach Your good pleasure,
\nand make my works good in all my states!
\n29. O Allah,
\nbless Muhammad and his Household,
\nincite me to remember You in times of heedlessness,
\nemploy me in Your obedience in days of leisure,
\nopen a smooth road for me to Your love,
\nand complete for me thereby the good of this world and the next!
\n30. O Allah,
\nand bless Muhammad and his Household the best You have
\nblessed any of Your creatures before him and will bless any of
\nthem after him, and give to us in this world good, and in the next
\nworld good, and protect me through Your mercy from the torment
\nof the Fire!

\ncause my faith to reach the most perfect faith,
