It is narrated from Imam Hussain (AS) who said: If there is no place of rest for me anywhere in the world, I will not give in to indignity. If no one helps me, no one gives me refuge, and I stay alone on this earth, I will not stop this uprising [1]. Now, it is a good opportunity because if I had acted at the time of Moawiyeh with my children, they would have killed us in Medina, and our voices would not have been heard. The society would have worn black to mourn us, they would have deceived the public and our voices would have not been heard. Now, Moawiyeh is dead, if you see that I do not stay silent, it is because the opportunity is right.
I stayed silent for 20 years, 10 years at the time of my brother Imam Hassan (AS) and 10 years after the martyrdom of my brother. Moawiyeh was a deceitful person and would have covered the truth. Now that he is gone, and his helpers have also gone, Yazid is a sinful young person, with little experience, he will not stop his crude acts, it is the right opportunity that with my martyrdom, I remove the layout of their rule. Imam Hussain (AS) added: Until the Day of Judgment you must keep this thought alive, the religion does not allow us to forget this [2].
