When a person faces a problem that he cannot solve, he will be in need of advice from a knowledgeable lawyer. We have the opportunity to have a complete and comprehensive lawyer throughout our life, who has many qualities and never abandons us.

The most fundamental pillar of divine religions is monotheism. Accordingly, trusting in God means putting him as a lawyer and entrusting Him with the power of affairs.

When a person trusts God with his heart, he makes God his reliable support. In fact, the concept of Tawakkul finds meaning when a person reaches a stage of knowledge and belief that he understands that everything is from God and that if God wants good for him, no one can prevent it, and if God wants bad for him, no one can prevent it. Accordingly, he considers money, wealth, wife, children, etc. bestowed by God.

One of the most important effects and results of trusting in God is inner peace and salvation from distress because God’s attributes are constant, and His mercy and forgiveness are always bestowed to His servants; this brings peace to the soul of a person which is the first result of trust to God.

By trusting in God, man is assured that he has a support that never leaves him alone and that trusting in Him is enough: “Is it not that Allah suffices His worshiper, even though they frighten you with those other than Him?” (Surah Az-Zumar, verse 36)

Man’s attention to anything other than God is among the biggest mistakes, but when man clings to a deep belief that God is the Eternal Provider, he will trust only in God and will preserve his self-esteem and dignity.

Tawakkul enhances human tolerance as he takes refuge in God in difficulties and problems because he knows that God is present and watching him. For example, tolerating a great loss will be possible for one who pins hope only on God and puts trust in Him. “And provide for him from where he does not expect, Allah is Sufficient for whosoever puts his trust in Him. Indeed, Allah brings about whatever He decrees. Allah has set a measure for all things.” (Surah At-Talaq, verse 3)

Of course, Tawakkul does not mean abandoning efforts as the two find meaning in Islam when combined.
