Statement by the World Assembly for Shiite Studies on the Occasion of the Blessed Ascension (Mab’ath) of the Holy Prophet (PBUH)
Allah Almighty says:
“Indeed Allah conferred a great favor upon the believers when He sent among them a Messenger from among themselves, reciting to them His verses and purifying them and teaching them the Book and wisdom” (Quran 3:164).
On this auspicious occasion of Mab’ath, the day of the divine mission of the Seal of Prophets, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the World Assembly for Shiite Studies extends its heartfelt congratulations to all Muslims worldwide, scholars, intellectuals, and followers of the Ahlul-Bayt (peace be upon them).
Mab’ath marks a turning point in human history when Allah sent His final Messenger to complete the religion and perfect His blessings. The mission of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was rooted in monotheism, justice, ethics, and human dignity, illuminating the path of salvation for humanity from the darkness of ignorance and tyranny to the light of knowledge and justice.
Through the noble teachings of the Prophet (PBUH) and the recitation of divine verses, a fragmented and ignorant society was transformed into a united nation centered on faith in God and cooperation in righteousness and piety.
On this great occasion, the World Assembly for Shiite Studies reaffirms that a return to the Prophet’s teachings and adherence to his radiant example is the key to achieving Islamic unity and addressing the challenges faced by the Muslim Ummah today. This is also the foundation for building a new Islamic civilization.
We call upon scholars, intellectuals, and elites in the Islamic world to promote the pure teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and strengthen the bonds of unity among Muslims to pave the way for the prosperity of the Ummah.
In conclusion, we pray to Almighty Allah to grant us the ability to be sincere followers of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and to act upon the divine teachings of the Quran and the Ahlul-Bayt (peace be upon them).
