Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Hossein Roknoddini, the cultural deputy of the Office of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution’s Hajj Representative, told IQNA that some of the programs are held in Iran and the others in Saudi Arabia during the Hajj season.
He said there is a cultural expert and an assistant serving each batch of pilgrims.
They will help the pilgrims to prepare them for Hajj and doing the rituals, he noted.
The cleric said that while in Iran, the pilgrims attend eight to ten sessions of educational programs, in which they learn about different aspects of the spiritual journey.
There are also gatherings of pilgrims in every province as well as Quran recitation sessions, and similar programs, he stated.
In the holy cities of Mecca and Medina, the programs include recitation of Kumaiyl and Nudba Supplications, Quranic circles, and religious speeches, Roknoddini said.
He went on to say that during the journey, the pilgrims should have plans to make the best of very moment of the pilgrimage.
As many as 39,635 Iranians will go on the Hajj pilgrimage this year.
Saudi Arabia has announced that it will receive foreign pilgrims for Hajj this year after two years of suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Figures show some 5.8 million Iranians are on a waiting list for travelling to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah.
They have been waiting for years for their turn.
