Egyptian Youth Recites Entire Quran in 7 Hours
Mohammad Abdul Rahman set a record by doing so, according to Akhbar El-Youm news website.
Mohammad, who is a graduate of pharmacology, recited the entire Quran without making any mistakes.
He has been raised in a family all of whose members are memorizers of the Quran.
Mohammad said in an interview with a TV program that he learned the entire Quran by heart at the age of 9 when he was in the fourth grade in elementary school.
He also learned Tajweed and Quran recitation from a number of experts in his hometown of Kafr El-Sheikh.
In Quran recitation, the young Egyptian likes to imitate the style of late qari Sheikh Abolainain Shoaisha.
As for success in memorization, he said it is very important to do repetitions so as not to forget the memorized verses.
